Description
This female condom is made to fit in the vagina and extend up to the cervix. It can also be used anally by pulling out the cervical ring. If you do so, we recommend turning the condom inside out so that a small ridge in the material won't create any discomfort. Instead of the penetrator wearing the raingear, the penetratee gets all the fun! Polyurethane. Single.

I decided to try the female condom in a fit of misplaced guilt. I felt sorry for my then lover, who complained that condoms robbed him of all sensation and sexual pleasure. It seemed to me that I surely must exhaust all other options before requiring him to submit to such torture!
Pbbbbt. He had it great.
I, on the other hand, had a clear plastic garbage bag in my twat. It was one of the most terrifically uncomfortable experiences of my life.
This situation, like all others, DOES have a bright side. The silicone cervical ring makes a lovely bracelet. If you wear it for long enough, it takes on a pretty tiger's eye color. You can usually get these for free at your local health clinic.
I love wearing the condom!

I'll never forget the episode of AbFab where Gram puts on the "femmiedoms" -- that Saff gave to Eddy for an orgy -- to do the dishes! They look so big and strange at first, but only because you are comparing them to men's condoms. But they have totally changed my sex life. Since I use condoms as my birth control, in the back of my mind I'm always nervous about trusting the man to be in charge of the condom while having sex. Especially since I've had them break on me too many times! The Reality condom is crazy strong -- I've tried to rip one with fingernails and they hold up -- and I really can trust them to keep me safe. So I can relax and not worry while I'm fucking my boyfriend. It does seem hard to get them in at first, especially if you are following specific instructions. I've learned to just whip it out of the pack, and just shove it in with my fingers, quicker than it takes to get a man's condom on. Then I hold the outer ring while he inserts his cock, and that pushes the inner ring in and helps it take the proper shape inside. I like having the ring on the outside of me to feel that the condom is totally protecting me; again it helps me let go and enjoy sex w/o any worry. I wish there was more of a discount when you buy more, as I would love to use these every time I fuck, but they are a little pricey.
So disappointed...

Given my newly discovered latex allergy, I was keen to try the full range of polyeurethane condoms...this one was the worst. Despite a large quantity of lube, ample time to insert, and a lot of laughter as we fooled with it, my partner and I decided it was ultimately about as much fun as having sex with a sandwich bag between us.
We highly recommend the Trojan polyeurethane condom, though, for women with similar latex issues. It is more comfortable than the Reality and stayed on his penis better than the Durex version. We think the Trojan ones might be a bit longer and thus less likely to be pulled off by vaginal contractions.

Female condoms have a bad reputation...but I love them. It's true that these require some practice--just as any condom does. There are so many reasons why the Reality is a great option for folks:
1) It's an option for people who don't typically get one if their partner refuses to wear gear. You are in control!
2) Polyeurethane is highly durable material and a great alternative to latex (if you have allergies or if you just don't like the smell of latex).
3) Polyeurethane retains heat; latex changes temperature really fast. These condoms will stay warm and sexy whereas a latex condom will get cold.
4) Reality condoms provide additional STI protection from skin-to-skin transmission, because the outer ring partially protects the labia or anal area.
These condoms need more positive attention. This is my new campaign.
