I haven't bought product yet but needed to enter a rating-anyway... Anon's comment on 8/11/11 recommended lots of lube. Does anyone know if she was referring to needing it on the inside of the condom for the intercourse (which is what I'm assuming) or on the outside of it (for condom insertion)? Babeland Customer Service: Thank you for your inquiry. Additional lubrication is needed during sex because the barrier created by the condom blocks all natural lubrication.

I've never used a female condom before, because I was always kind of intimidated by how they looked. They just looked so...big. Either way, my boyfriend isn't a huge fan of the traditional male condom, so I decided to try this out since I didn't want to have unprotected sex. This kind of condom can't be used as spontaneously as a male condom, but getting it set wasn't too bad at all. The smaller ring goes up into the vagina by the cervix, and the larger ring stays outside of the body. It looks a little strange at first, but everything felt fine. I actually felt like the outside ring gave me a little bit of stimulation on the outside, since it was pressing and moving against my bits. My partner really liked it as well, because he didn't have to wear anything and still got great sensation. I'd recommend a lot of lube with this, however!

I picked these up at my local Planned Parenthood, and I really love how easy they are to use and that I don't have to worry about a partner losing their erection. Unfortunately, according to the included pamphlet, they are lubricated with silicone, which would make them incompatible with silicone toys.* *(Most condoms on the market utilize a very slight amount of a combination silicon/water-based lube on them. It is Babeland's experience that so long as you don't add extra silicone lube and do wash the toy promptly after use this amount of lube doesn't affect the integrity of the toy.)
