A great alternative for latex sensitive folks! These polyisoprene condoms are slightly thinner and roomier than standard latex condoms and have a silkier feel. Not compatible with oil-based lubricant.

Better than Trojan

I am allergic to latex condom and have had a similar allergic reaction to the new polyisoprene condoms that both Durex and Trojan make. The Durex Avanti is slightly wider than the trojan brand made from the same material which makes the fit better for my partner. I was sad to learn from the durex website that they have been discontinued! I will have almost no alternatives to hormonal birth control soon. Any suggestions?

Not a great fit.

These are not stretchy enough, making them difficult to put on. And once it is on and stretches out to conform to the penis, it just stays stretched out. So I had one of these end up left inside me after my partner pulled out. Made for an interesting extraction as we tried not to spill... kind of cancels out the whole point of using protection.

DO NOT USE THIS CONDOM-IT BREAKS!

I am so sad to report that these condoms break way too many times. I'm allergic to latex, so can't use that, the pill makes me crazy and depressed, and my insurance won't cover for an IUD. So instead I was using these condoms which were the only ones my body could handle. Problem is they break...a lot! At least one in 4 break. And this was not all from the same box. Sad to say, I have been stuck paying in more ways than one for the morning after pill at least five times now. This morning was the last straw. Good luck to all you with sensitive vaginas. We're screwed. [Thanks for your review. I am in no way suggesting that you try these again, however I was reminded when I read your review that putting a 'dollop' of lube on the end of the penis before rolling on the condom, can help reduce friction, and possibly tears. So, lube on the inside, lube on the outside, might be helpful. Sorry these didn't work for you. You might want to try the Trojan Supra, Lifestyles Skyn, or the Reality Condom.] Babeland Staff
