Showing You the Ropes is actually a pretty awesome review for anyone who likes to learn by looking at pictures. Each rope tie is presented with step-by-step instructions on how to tie it in pictures. Under each picture is a caption about how to do it. Most of the ties take one or two pages with about 16 pictures per page. The pictures are actual photographs of the rope bondage ties done on real people. The book is entirely in black and white. The pictures made is really fun for new kinksters to learn how to do the ties, and some of the ties include making a rope ball gag, how to do some basic knots, how to tie up the wrists behind the back, a rope bondage panty, and all sorts of other things. Compared to most other bondage books, this one offers quite a lot of different ties. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this book - while I'd say that it won't teach you to improve your free-moving technique, it will teach you how to do some basic and sexy ties.

In a very easy-to-understand way, this book shows the building blocks of making some really pretty rope work. You'd need a patient partner to try some of these, but once you get it down, it's really easy and fun to improvise.

A wonderful coffee table worthy booklet. Nice glossy photos for a little conversational eye-candy. The depicted ties are rather simple, and easily executed. I drug out my Hand-Spun Silk rope during a ladies only Martini and Candle party and it was a barrel of laughs watching the gals trying different things and chatting about how their significant others would react - IF ..... Just plan great fun all around.
