I'm more into S&M than he was, so it was fun to flip through it together and see how far he was willing to go.

If you're a beginner this book maybe a little edgy with subjects including, electro-torture, fisting, and breast bondage, which may be a little much. But as for needing to find support groups, organizations, stores, magazines and pretty much everything else under the sun, this is a good book. The conversation in the book may be a bit cheesy being as it was written in 1995. However if you do have a common knowledge and want to brush up definitely pick this one up. As for beginners check out SM 101.

This isn't exactly a beginner's book because it does contain some edgy play however it does have one of the best glossaries I have seen. If you are looking to see what kind of acts are done in the kink world or are interested in expanding on the basics, this book may be a great addition to your library.
