Ahh, the pinwheel. This thing can send shivers up your spine or make you writhe in anticipation or pleasurable pain. Neither my partner nor I are into recieving lots of pain, but I sure do love a little, coupled with some power exchange, sensation play, and maybe some sensory deprivation, especially when there are exquisite tools like this involved. And this one can deliver the type of sensation and light pain play we like, as well as heavier stuff for those who are into that. One thing worth reiterating that has been said in other reviews is that the lovely weight of the handle is a great enhancement for maneuverability. If you just want to tickle and tease, you can just drag it across the skin, letting the weight of the handle do the work for you. You can also push, to up the pain. It should be noted that this thing feels extremely different depending on where and how hard it is applied, making it extremely versatile. I love working it all over my partner's body, leaving her shuddering and wanting something more. It really starts to feel like an art and is tremendously absorbing for both the giver and the reciever. Highly recommended!

The Wartenburg Pinwheel is the king of sensation play. It can be used from your average couple to hardcore BDSM enthusiasts. The edges of the pinwheel are pointed but they are not razor sharp. The Pinwheel is actually originally a medical toy used for testing nerves. It provides a unique sensation much like more a "pinpointed" feeling of fingernails dragging down someone's back. While it looks sharp, this honestly doesn't leave marks unless you want it to. You can be extremely gentle with it, and it won't leave any marks or anything. However, if you push down a little bit with the toy, it will leave little red dots on the skin that look a little like a railroad track. If you push down seriously hard, you can draw blood with this, but it takes quite a bit of pressure. It feels pretty pleasurable. It's more of a tickly sensation when used lightly, but it can provide some direct painful sensation if you push down extremely hard. Overall, this is such a variable toy. If you are light, this can be sensual. If you press heavily, it can be more painful. This is a great addition to anyone's toybox.

There is nothing bad about how this little sensation toy makes me feel. I do not necessarily have the highest pain tolerance but my partner really does love these kinds of things so I went ahead and purchased one. What I wasn't expecting was the actual sensation I get when its lightly rolled across my skin. Its almost like it brings a rush of feelings in parts of your body you didn't know you had. Almost like that head tingler thing does. I love this thing.
